Breastplate Clips

We frequently have requests for breastplate clips, to attach the breast plate to the front D-rings of the saddle. This is a pair of clips only, without leather work. They are high quality, made in England and are British saddlery standard. The clips fit 1/2" leather, which is the standard size for the breastplate straps that attach to the saddle. Buckle the straps to the clips, then clip the breastplate onto the D rings of your saddle. You have the option of silver-coloured nickel-plated clips or gold-coloured solid brass as well as square or round swivel-eye. Please note that you will be adding some length to your breastplate straps by adding these, and you may need to take this into consideration when purchasing.

Bridlework comes in Pony, Cob, Full and Extra Full. Not sure which? Measure your horse's current bridle from buckle hole to buckle hole and send Kate the numbers. Browbands are measured end to end, between the loops.

Wipe off mud and sweat with a damp cloth, let it dry naturally away from heat, then feed with a good leather balsam. Kate uses and stocks Jeffries leathercare. Leather looked after this way lasts for decades.
