1. What is it?

Good to know

Repair questions.

How long does a repair take?

Many small jobs (a strap, a keeper, a headcollar) are done the same day, often while you wait. Saddle work such as a takes longer, and side saddle restorations are booked in advance. Kate will give you a time when she quotes.

Is it worth repairing, or should I buy new?

Good leather can usually be saved, and a repair often costs far less than replacing it. If something isn't safe or isn't worth the money, Kate will tell you straight.

Do you repair things that aren't for horses?

Yes. Handbags, briefcases, belts, hat boxes, binocular cases, chair arms, even a classic car cover. A saddler's skills work on almost anything made of leather.

My horse had a fall. Should the saddle be checked?

Always. A fall, or even dropping a saddle off the stable door, can damage the . Kate strips it back and checks the tree and webbing before it goes back on your horse.

How do I post something in?

Send photos through the form first. Kate will reply with a quote and the workshop address. Pack it well, and use a tracked service.
