Tueri et protegere equos

Saddles that fit your horse.

A saddle that fits changes how a horse moves. Kate fits, checks, alters and makes saddles, and she always puts the horse first.

Saddle fitting

What happens at a fitting.

Horses change shape with work, age and the seasons. A makes sure the saddle still suits your horse, and you.

Kate has been a huge game changer for my boy and I. It has changed my horse's way of going dramatically.

  1. Look at the horse first

Shape, muscle, movement and any sore spots, before a saddle goes near.

  2. Check the saddle

    Tree, , flocking, and stitching.

  3. See it on the horse

How it sits, how it moves and whether it stays put.

  4. Adjust, or advise

Reflock or alter where possible. If it can't be made to fit, Kate will say so.

The Caroline and the Charlie.

Safety first

Had a fall? Get the saddle checked.

A fall, or even dropping the saddle off the stable door, can damage the tree. Kate strips it back, checks the tree and the webbing, and makes it safe before it goes back on your horse.
