Stallion Disc

Are you riding or showing a stallion in competitions? Then you have to identify your horse as such.

Our hand-stitched stallion discs can be attached to the cheek piece or the throat lash.

You can choose from a traditional engraved brass disc or an elongated ‘badge' backed with leather.

The discs are 4.8cm in diameter and have a single leather strap on the back. You can choose from black or ‘havana' dark brown leather, even if it probably not visible to the judges.

The ‘badges' are 8.5cm long and made from best British bridle leather. You can choose from black or ‘havana' dark brown leather. The engraved brass-plaque finishes off the high quality of our craftsmanship to show off your horse in style. You can see the quality of the workmanship in the close-up of the work-in-progress in the clams and in the photo of the reverse of the disc. As you can see, no metal can touch the horse's head as it's covered in the double layer of leather.

Bridlework comes in Pony, Cob, Full and Extra Full. Not sure which? Measure your horse's current bridle from buckle hole to buckle hole and send Kate the numbers. Browbands are measured end to end, between the loops.

Wipe off mud and sweat with a damp cloth, let it dry naturally away from heat, then feed with a good leather balsam. Kate uses and stocks Jeffries leathercare. Leather looked after this way lasts for decades.
